I applied for help with this foundation thinking that we were not likely to get it. We came back from a trip to visit relatives and we had a box from the Aubrey Rose Foundation. It had 4 stuffed animals (perfect since we have 4 children) and a note that made me cry. I could not believe that the remainder of my son's heart surgery was paid for. This has lifted such a burden off of us and helped us in so many ways. My son was born with transposition of the great arteries and had open heart surgery at 8 days old. We have insurance but the amount left that was our part was just overwhelming. Thank you so much for your kindness and gift. I hope that one day I can do something in return or play forward what you have done for my family.
