Yesterday, I picked up our mail and was totally surprised to see a box from your foundation. I opened it, read your letter explaining that you had helped pay a sizable portion of Levi's remaining air ambulance bill, and saw the three stuffed bears for our three little boys. I was speechless. This is a huge blessing to our family as we're still making our way through Levi's heart journey and medical bills.
This comes at a perfect time too and gives us hope. We recently found out that Levi needs his first open heart surgery now. We had hoped he'd be older, but he's scheduled for surgery in June, just after his first birthday. We'll be traveling down to California for the surgery. There are so many thoughts and emotions surrounding this surgery. It's been a difficult time for our family, but we feel especially blessed by your foundation as you have taken away some of our financial burdens. This is a huge relief when so many other things are so tough. Thank you so much.
I also want to say how perfectly your letter spoke to my heart. It was a needed reminder to live life to the fullest each and every day. It's so easy to get caught up in the planning and anxiety of Levi's medical needs. Aubrey's gift has put a smile on each of our faces and reminds us to enjoy the time we have together.
Thank you for the hope you have given our family.
Sincerely,
Erika, James, Noah, Jacob, & Levi Kerr
