Aubrey Rose Foundation - Mission
The Aubrey Rose Foundation is, and always has been, to help families that are caring for medically-fragile children suffering from life-threatening illnesses, while maintaining a focus on family unity.
Thanks to our many volunteers and donors, the Aubrey Rose Foundation does many different things in order to lift the weight of life’s complexities. Providing emotional support and the chance to enjoy a bit of "normal life" in the midst of a terrible situation is something so very important and positive for these children and their families, as we're reminded in the note from a family we helped below.
A MESSAGE FROM A FAMILY WE HELPED
We are so incredibly thankful for your financial support. Mason had another open-heart surgery since our initial foundation application, so this financial help has come at a very good time. Mason has recovered well since his 4th surgery and we’re hoping it will be his last heart surgery. The pandemic has certainly been challenging for everyone, and because Mason is high risk, it’s been hard trying to keep a 3-year-old away from activities and kids, but he’s doing OK with it. Mason’s journey has been very difficult for all of us, but we’ve grown stronger as a family through all of this. By the way - Mason LOVES the big dog stuffed animal you sent along too, so thank you for that Bonus surprise.

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of one of our Founders, George Frondorf, on December 22, 2020. George is Nancy's Father.
For years, you could always find George at any of the Foundation functions. He was always happy to be a greeter at our American Girl Fashion Shows and talking to the families and our models.
George was always there at our Golf Outing and Dances, meeting people and being the charming gentleman that made him loved by all.
I couldn't have asked for a better Father-in-Law, or Grandfather to Carly, Spencer and Aubrey and a Great-Grandfather to Elliot, Gabriel, Samuel and Barrett.
The kindness and loving demeanor that George had will surely be missed at our functions. George touched so many lives and will always be considered "Grandpa" to many!
Our thoughts and prayers go out to George's wife, Nancy, to my wife, Nancy, and to all of Nancy's brothers and sisters and their families.
The greatest thing you can say about someone that is no longer with us is ... We Miss You!
George, We Miss You Greatly!
I wish all of you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy New Year!
Samantha was born with a unique heart and as a result has feeding difficulties, which has resulted in her needing a g-tube to be fed. Sammy also has a history of stroke and cerebral palsy.
Sammy had her second open heart surgery in July, 2020. She has recovered well and is doing well. She will continue to have cardiology appointments for life. Her team has already planned another surgical intervention for the summer of 2021.
Many people with single ventricle physiology end up needing a heart and liver transplant later in life.
Sammy's Mommy said she is a joy and a light to their world! Sammy loves stuffed animals, and enjoys playing with the toys her therapists bring. They are both interactive and fun!
The Aubrey Rose Foundation helped this family with an air purifier to help cleanse the air that she breathes.
Help us continue to support children, like Samantha!
The Aubrey Rose Foundation was forced to cancel all of our fundraising events this year except for our Golf Outing. As you know these fundraisers are critical to our mission, helping families who have children with life-threatening medical conditions. Right now we have 56 families in need of support with medical bills over $1.5 million dollars! The world may have stopped during Corona virus, but the needs of the families that need your support did not. We are so very grateful for your support in the past and we are hoping we can count on you again this year.
What Kind of Kids do we Help:
The Aubrey Rose Foundation helps children ages 0-18 who have any kind of life-threatening medical conditions. ARF is very unique in that we don't help just with cancer or heart problems ... we help with all kinds of diseases and illnesses for children who are medically-fragile.
These special children bravely battle a level of pain and suffering we can hardly imagine. Parents and siblings feel terrified at getting the news that a sick child, brother, or sister might not live. Plus, the cost of medical co-pays, equipment, and home care after a stay in the hospital nearly bankrupts many families.
This is your time to shine. Together, we can put smiles on the faces of many children and their families. Any kind of donation can help relieve some of the burden on these families! We welcome you to join us in being a stress reliever for these families in need!
We hope we can count on your support to help us help some of these 56 families that have requested financial assistance from the Aubrey Rose Foundation. The Aubrey Rose Foundation is a 100% volunteer-driven organization.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and double lungs!
