![]() Adahlynn is a six-month-old that aspirated meconium when she was born. This led her into developing persistent pulmonary hypertension. As her stay in the NICU continued, they discovered she was having difficult eating. They did a procedure on her to watch her swallowing, and discovered she has a Laryngeal Cleft-1. She also has Dysphagia and high risk for aspiration. Since she cannot eat, they did surgery on her and gave her a gtube (gastrostomy tube). She is due to have another swallow study in a few weeks to determine the next steps. She will need feeding therapy and a Laryngeal Cleft repair in the near future in order to help her be able to one day eat orally. We work to be the light of HOPE and help them with their children's journey to health! Meet Ezran! He's one determined baby who just got out of the hospital since he was born six-months ago. This picture is the first time he was able to play in his bouncy seat at home! How precious! Below is a thank you not from Ezran's Parents. Thank you so much for your generous gift! We are still in the midst of transitioning home from CHOP, but your gift was waiting for us when we arrived! Thankfully my in laws brought it inside for us and tucked it next to our couch. As I'm sure you can imagine, coming home we felt so scared to be on our own after having spent all of Ezran's life in the hospital. Karsen was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and has already undergone two open-heart surgeries, was on advanced life-support for 14+ days and had extensive hospital stays. The family had to relocate to the area where the hospital was while he was recuperating. Mom is unable to work now because of his condition. They have insurance but it's getting maxed out which has left them with some extremely high bills. The Aubrey Rose Foundation was able to help them with their medical bills. Here is a note from Karsen's Mom: We appreciate your foundation so much. It was such a relief to know you were able to help us out with one of our medical bills for our sweet boy. Along with assisting us financially, you sent 2 very cute teddy bears that our kids have not ventured far from since they were received. Knowing a foundation out there is more then just assisting financially but making sure the kids receive something to is so special and heart warming. Thank you for assisting us and making our kids feel that much more special.
